The Baby Gate Specialists!

We get more calls from parents looking for help with stairway gates than everything else combined, and we are always happy to provide a free estimate.

Whether your home was built in 1914 or 2014 it's likely the builder gave no thought to how difficult it might be to install a child safety gate on the stairs. Safe Nest Babyproofing specializes in installing gates in difficult and non-standard situations when many off-the-shelf gates won't work. In fact, this is exactly what led Ryan to starting the company!

Many homes do not have solid walls on both sides of the staircase but that doesn't mean you can't safely and securely install a gate. Whether it's a wooden stair baluster post, wrought iron or wooden spindles, a half wall, or something else entirely, we have usually seen it before and know of a way to securely install a gate.

Best of all, while the goal is to install the gate in the safest way imaginable, it's often possible to use custom mounting brackets on your stair posts and banister spindles that allow the gate to be securely installed without damaging these posts. In a few years, when you take the gate down, there will be no holes or damage to be repaired!

Custom Fit Gates

Sometimes it's not possible to install a traditional hard mounted stair gate due to the design of your stair case. If that is your situation then we usually can design a custom fit gate that can be configured around odd shaped stairwells. These gates are still securely attached at each end to keep your child safe while giving you the flexibility to fit into your homes design.
